Do Your Actions Point to Jesus?
“He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.” John 5:35
John the Baptist’s purpose was to tell people about the ministry of Jesus; to testify that He is the Son of God, the Light of the World. Just as John 5:35 says, He “was a lamp that burned and gave light.”
As Christians, we have the same purpose: to tell people about Jesus. To be a lamp that burns and gives light. Are YOU a lamp that burns and gives light?
- Do your actions point to Jesus?
- Do your words point to Jesus?
- Do your thoughts point to Jesus?
- Does the way you love people point to Jesus?
- Does the way you serve people point to Jesus?
We aren’t perfect and this isn’t going to come naturally. Pray that God would give you a heart that wants to be a light; that wants to point people to Jesus. Pray that God would give you the strength, courage, and power to be that light.
