“I have love you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3
Have you ever thought about how much God loves you? It is hard for us to comprehend God’s love for us because we think about love from an earthy, human to human perspective. Think of the person that loves you more than anyone…probably your parents or another family member. That doesn’t even come close to how much God loves you.
His love is everlasting and He has loved us from the beginning of time and He will always love us! No matter what! God promises us that He is faithful and the God who is perfect keeps His promises.
When you love someone, you like to show it in different ways, right? By giving them gifts, doing things for them etc. etc. God shows His love for us in so many ways.
This world He created is beautiful, detailed and mysterious. God made food taste good; He made the warm sun feel good on our skin; He made flowers with a wonderful scent; He gave us emotions; and He gave us a Savior so we could be seen as perfect in His eyes.
If you think about it, God has done everything possible to show us His love. We just have to open our eyes to see it. We have to see it in those around us, in the beauty of the world, in the story of the Bible and in Jesus. When you are filled with God’s love, His Holy Spirit moves you to love others better and in a selfless way that God wants us to love. God is the center of love because God is love.
