Funny Enough, Cool Enough

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

“ Dear God, it is so amazing to me what a thankful heart can do. I was feeling discouraged and listened to Satan’s lies that I wasn’t funny enough or cool enough. In writing down what I am thankful for, I was reminded that I don’t have to be enough because Jesus is enough. I am a vessel for Him to work through. He created me, and all those around me, with intention and purpose. The campers don’t need to love me; they need to love you, Jesus. Lord God, help me to get out of the way so that you may work in their hearts. I don’t want to mess anything up by trying to be the center. You are the center. Thank you for sweet reminders of abundant life, walking in confidence with who God made me to be. May I have eyes to see how beautifully each of my 8 girls shines for Jesus.”

When you get a chance, take a pen and paper. At the top of the paper right down ‘I am’ and then below, start writing down insecurities or lies about yourself that fill your mind. At the bottom of paper write ‘loved by a BIG God,” and then slowly cross through each of those insecurities and choose NOT to believe in them. Your eyes will naturally float to the bottom where you will read the only truth that you need to know. You are loved.
