When Temptation Strikes
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16
Y’all, be encouraged today by this passage-it gets me every time!
God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise from the dead to make us righteous before Him. That means that Jesus lived on earth as a human.
He was tempted just like we are tempted. He has felt every single emotion you have ever felt even when you feel crazy. Take heart that He has been tempted like we are tempted, because that means He stands ready to give immediate and sympathetic help when we are tempted. He is ready to help when we are tempted so approach Him with confidence.
When you are tempted and feel like you can’t do it on your own, because you can’t, approach Jesus’ throne of grace confidently and ask him to help you through the temptation. He will provide mercy and grace to help us through our temptations.
Approach the throne of grace with confidence today-not just in the midst of temptation but because you are a daughter of the King!
