Stressed Out

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

Can you imagine living worry-free today? Can you imagine no stress or anxiety? Maybe you’re reading this right now, and you’re facing a full day of school, activities, friends, homework, chores, and a million other projects looming over you.

You feel stressed out.

One blessing of knowing Jesus is that we can live without any anxiety. The Bible says that we should hand over all of our stress to Jesus because He cares for us. He can handle it. He knows how to take care of every situation facing you today. Whether you’re nervous about a Chemistry exam or an English essay, God wants you to talk to Him about it. Whether you’re dealing with friendship drama or a crush disappointment, God tells us to recognize His “mighty hand” so He can lift us up at the right time.

As you talk to God today, go ahead and tell Him every single thing you’re worried about, right down to the simplest thing. Ask Jesus for wisdom, protection, provision, and peace. Ask Jesus to help you leave every worry in His great loving hands. Then start looking for all the ways God is going to come to your aid today.

When you practice living worry-free, you’re telling God that you know He’s the King of the Universe who has the power to manage your schedule, your relationships, and your future. He cares for you and invites you to throw every worry His way.

Make a list of what’s stressing you out. Then imagine yourself throwing this list into God’s lap. Take a few deep breaths and thank God that He cares for you and can handle the details of your life.
