John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

This is perhaps the most well known Bible verse of all time. In 2009, Tim Tebow (quarterback for the Florida Gators) wore eye black bearing his favorite verse at the BCS championship game. OVER 90 MILLION people googled John 3:16 the next day! Because of one man’s simple act, 90 MILLION PEOPLE googled the gospel of Jesus Christ!!! How amazing is that???

But it is not just popular in sporting arenas. John 3:16 is the most searched Bible verse of all time! The popularity of this verse does not amaze me, but the meaning does. This single verse presents the GREATEST OPPORTUNITY ever given to any human being!!! That includes both you and me!

God made the ultimate sacrifice for you and for me. It is the single greatest gift ever given. What else can I say? This one little verse says it all.
