“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
I love to plan for the future. I enjoy planning out as many things as possible. Pinterest really helps too. Or does it?
I have a Pinterest board for my future dream home, recipes I want to try and (of course) crafts that I want to complete. We plan everything out on our to-do list and then expect that it will all go according to our plan. We might think we know our future because we’ve dreamed about it, searched on the Internet about it, marked it on our calendar and this list can go on and on.
The smallest change can turn all of our plans upside down and change our lives completely. How easily we forget that God has planned our future and His plan is perfect. In the midst of tough circumstances it’s hard to trust God’s perfect plan.
God’s Word calls us to know and trust that God has us where he wants us. He calls us to focus on serving Him today and letting Him worry about tomorrow. It is our responsibility to use the time we have in the here and now to accomplish great things for Him. Though we don’t know what tomorrow has for us, we know the One who does and we know that His plan is perfect.
Have you planned out everything? Do you know what to do when something changes? Do you trust that he is taking care of your future? Do you feel his care? Can you remember something that you never expected to be better than you ever thought?
