It Will All Work Out

“And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

Have you ever gone through a period in your life where you wondered if things were ever going to get better, or if things were ever going to get ‘back to normal’? Has someone in your family possibly been sick for a while, or have you been struggling with something that no one else has any idea about? Are things at home or with friends tense and hard to deal with?

Sometimes it seems like things cannot possibly get worse. We may feel sad, alone, scared, overwhelmed, and/or hopeless. But God promises that all things work together for good for those who love Him.

This is huge! He doesn’t say some things or only a few things will work out; He says that all things work together for good. Cling to hope. God is faithful.

Hebrews 10:23: Let us hold unswervingly to the hope which we profess, for He who promised it is faithful.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18: For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Prayer: God, grant me hope in You. Help me trust that all things work together for good for those who love You. Let me walk near to You and cling to Your promises. Thank you for your faithfulness. Amen.
