His Good Work Starts Now
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.’ And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” Revelation 21:3-5
This passage in Revelation is talking about heaven.
Heaven: when Christ reigns and we, as Christians are citizens. We will live with Jesus and He will live with us in heaven. In heaven, Jesus will wipe every tear from our eyes, there will be no death, no pain, no crying, no mourning. The old way of doing things on earth will be wiped away. He is going to make everything NEW!
I don’t know about you but what HOPE that brings. What treasure we have to look forward to in heaven-living with God and Him making everything new!
The good news of the gospel is that Jesus also begins to make us new here on earth! “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life” (Romans 6:4).
Because of Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead by God, through Jesus we can also have new life! Jesus can turn our sinful hearts to new hearts that desire Him and His glory while we are earth. Rest in the fact that Jesus is making you new today.
