“They cried to you and were saved. They trusted in you and were not disappointed.” Psalm 22:5
Do you feel disappointed in your life today? I remember feeling so disappointed by life when I was a teenager. Parents let me down. Teachers let me down. Coaches let me down. Life let me down. I had days when nothing worked out for me.
Slowly, I realized that people let you down. They aren’t perfect. And life isn’t always easy. In fact, most of the time, life isn’t easy. As I matured, I learned to cry out to God about everything in my life. I learned to trust in God alone. I learned that He is faithful and keeps His promises all the time.
Do you believe this? Do you believe that God is good and longs to be gracious to you? Do you believe that if you surrendered everything within you to Jesus that He will not disappoint you?
In Psalm 84, we read that God “withholds no good thing from him whose walk is blameless.” Remember this: If you feel like God is withholding something from you, it’s because it’s not a good thing for you, or it’s not a good thing for you right now. God does not disappoint us.
You can trust in Him and not be disappointed.
What are you trusting God for right now? Are you afraid you’ll be disappointed? Talk to Jesus about this, and tell Him all your fears. Remind yourself that God withholds no good thing from you.
