Fear Is Fraud

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

I struggle with anxiety. Can anyone relate? Anxiety is such a real thing that can truly tear us up.

It is triggered by so many different things for different people. Maybe that presentation at work or school is making you quiver? Maybe it scares you to walk into a room full of people? Maybe you worry about the bad things that could happy to you family?

There are a million reasons why anxiety surfaces. Sometimes it hangs out for only a short time and sometimes, at least it has with me, it wears out its welcome.

Ann Voskamp brilliantly said one time, “All fear is fraud and NOTHING is too far out of the reach of God.” Ahhhhh. Thank you, Jesus. Let me break this down for us…

Fear (the anxious kind) is of satan. NOTHING we face is too big, too scary, too hard, too anything for Jesus to carry us through! NO.THING. Don’t let fear and anxiety take claim on you for even a second this year! God promises to never leave you or never forsake you.

The next time you are considering something and fear is your reason for not pursuing it, I dare you to trust Jesus and go for it. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Test Jesus’ faithfulness in this by doing something you are scared to do.

Don’t be a fraud victim this year, He has you in His hand!
